Q:Difference between this and the “Sport” Version? Is it just the small infant padding? Will be using front-facing for 20mo in a MINI Cooper.
A:extra padding, which needs to be removed for toddlers anyways. i would go with the sport version.

Q:does it have a cup holder?
A:yes it has a cup holder that u can put on it. it is not built in the seat it is an attachment.

Q:Will this car seat fit into smaller cars? I am looking for the smallest seat possible.
A:It fits in the back center of a kia

Q:has anyone used this for air travel? is it narrow? aircraft aproved?
A:Hi Janna, This Car Seat can be used on the air lines. There will be a sticker with writing in red that states ” This car seat is certified for motor vehicles and air craft”. This Car Seat is approximately 18 inches wide. If I can answer any further questions, please let me know.

Q:Is the cover removable for washing?
A:Yes

Q:Can I remove cover to clean? If not, what’s best way to clean? Thanks.
A:I haven’t had to take the cover off yet to wash it, but I would imagine you can. The last carseat we had we were able to take the cover off and wash it…. I am guessing you can do the same with this one.

Q:When does this carseat expire? What is the manufacture date?
A:Just received today 9-3. Expires 8-11-2021, made in 8-13-2015. Seems very nice.

Q:I don’t like the fabric on this seat. I’m afraid it’s hot and not breathable. Noticed any issues like this?
A:We live in Baltimore and it get’s pretty steamy here, I have never noticed the fabric of this carseat being any warmer than usual. As for breathable, she’s not a sweaty mess when we take her out. I never really thought about it. I think it’s fine

Q:Has anyone had issues with getting the straps/harness tight enough over their child? I own two of these seats and I struggle with both of them. My husband and I both tighten the straps as much as we can, but it still leaves too much wiggle room. My children are of average size and do not exceed the size reccomendations…
A:Do you have the straps in the appropriate slot in the back to match which slot it’s in on the cover? And are the straps at or below the shoulders?

Q:does this carseat have a base? If so, can it be installed rear-facing without the base?
A:No, this car seat does not have a base, it’s one piece. Mine is installed rear facing.

Q:Does it use the latch system, or does it require you to use a seatbelt?
A:Either way can be used when rear-facing. I’d have to reread the forward facing instructions as to whether you can use the latch system then, but we haven’t gotten that far ahead yet. We still use it rear-facing at this time.

Q:Is there a level for installing?
A:Hi Kimberly, There are level to ground lines on each side of the car seat to help get a good install when using this car seat rear facing. If I can answer any other questions, please let me know.

Q:There were two answers given regarding height of the seat itself. What is the height with the rear facing kick stand? Will it fit behind a tall driver
A:Hi Deirdre, When using the car seat rear facing you will not have the kick stand down. It will be laying up against the bottom of the car seat. When fully reclined, this car seat will be approximately 18 inches high. If I can answer any further questions, please let me know.

Q:How many recline positions (rear facing) does this seat have?
A:Two….you can unfold the bottom to make it sit up straighter. :)

Q:Is there an included cup holder?
A:Yes it has attachable cup holder included.

A:I would say a corally pink. More coral than pink.

Q:Does it recline?
A:Yes

Q:Why did this not come in the original box? Had sticker on outside w/pic & inside, directions.
A:If you purchased from Mama B Companies, It came directly from the manufacturer and many of their items ship in brown corrugate cartons.

Q:Do the straps between the legs buckle together or one at a time?
A:One at a time, its a 3 point harness. A plastic buckle across the chest, then the two metal clips (one one each strap) that connect into the main buckle. I hope that makes sense.

A:No it’s not flat it does have a little curve

A:Hi Jorge, the manufacture date is only found on the car seat. The expiration date would be 10 years from the manufacture date. They always expire in December of the expiration year. If I can answer other questions, please let me know.

Q:Does this seat come with harness strap covers? I don’t see any in the pictures. If not, does it dig in to child’s neck or seem uncomfortable?
A:No it doesn’t but no neither my 5 month old or 2 year old seem to mind. It did a little bit when she was smaller. When I first put her in it she was at the minimal weight limit and couldn’t quite control her head.

Q:what color is chambers? is it brown?

Q:Will this carseat fit in an airplane seat (Southwest)?
A:Yes.

Q:Anyone who purchased drive a very small car? I drive a 4-door mini – wondering if this is a good choice for a compact car?
A:Great for small cars! I drive a Mazda 3 sedan. This fits so much better than the infant seat we started with. I am considering getting this again when we have #2. I have more confidence that 2 of these will fit in my car better.

Q:Is this seat comfortable for children to sleep in? Looking for something my son’s head won’t bobble around in.
A:no definitely not, that’s my only problem with this car seat.

Q:Does this actually fit in a small car?

Q:How easy are the buckles to open and close? This seat will be an extra for grandparents to use.
A:Yes, they are easy to use and adjust.

Q:Does this carseat require a base?

A:No it does not. It installs directly on the seat of the car using two latches on the bottom and one at the top (for forward-facing). Q:my baby is 2 months old and weighing 9–11 lbs and she’s too long for an infant carseat now..just wanna know if it’ll be a good choice to buy this?
A:I wouldn’t. I find the straps very hard to loosen/tighten and the extra padding inserts don’t stay in place. If I could go back in time I would have spent just a bit more for a nicer car seat. This one is very very basic.

Q:Can this be used on airplanes (FAA certified?)

Might that be the difference? I own this seat as well as a bunch of others because we have 4 kids. And I LOVE this seat because we can fit 3 across in a sedan. That being said, unless this is for a second car, or you NEED a narrow seat with a high weight capacity I don’t recommend it. The straps get tangled and twisted ALL the time, you have to conpletely remove the seat to adjust the straps when forward facing, and it’s difficult to undo the cheat clip. I would recommend shelling out the extra $30-50 for a seat that won’t make you inane.

Q:Can they eventually use the seatbelt instead of the harnes with this?
A:I don’t believe so. It’s convertible in the sense that it can be used rear and front facing but it does not work as a booster

Q:Does this Safety 1st Guide 65 Convertible car seat model CC078CMI recline?
A:It does not recline, but it has a spot for the seatbelt to be rear facing (makes it sort of recline) and then another place for front facing.

Q:How soft is the seat?
A:This is an excellent car seat… You will not be sorry you purchased it. I bought it for my grand-daughter, it’s an excellent quality car seat. It’s soft but not too soft. It’s firm. My 1&1/2 year old grand-daughter has no issues with it and she’s adorable in it. Hope this helps! — I highly recommend this product.

Q:Has anyone used this in a 2 door sports car?
A:I have not but I do have a hatchback and it fits in there. And backwards and the car seat is not that big that I’m pretty positive it would do just fine backwards and forwards in a two door sports car

Q:Is this certified for airplane use? Has anyone used it rear facing on a plane and how easy to use on plane?
A:I find it kind of cumbersome to use when switching from car to car. I can imagine having to carry through an airport. Love the seat, but it took a little bit for me to get it down to a science. If you have an infant u may want to use a cradle car seat instead.
